Multisensory, explicit, systematic, structured literacy — for anyone, anywhere!

Many of our iReading Tutor instructors are trained in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or Barton Reading, and many hold CALT or CERI certifications. We are not just “tutors near me” you find on a quick Google search — we are highly specialized reading interventionists.

Your child will benefit from our expert tutors. Our team includes some of the most highly credentialed reading teachers in the United States and Canada, with experience teaching both online and in-person since 2015.

We provide research-based, structured literacy instruction tailored to your child’s unique learning needs.

Homeschool Evaluation

(Family Empowerment Scholarship and Unique Abilities Homeschooling Evaluation)

Evaluation Fee: $75
Evaluation Fee: $75

This evaluation includes:

·         A Zoom meeting to review your child’s current curriculum and academic progress

·         Analysis of progress with instructional feedback and recommendations

·         Completion and signing of required documentation verifying that your child is making progress commensurate with their abilities

·         Compliance with your local public school district’s homeschooling requirements

·         A formal overview of your child’s progress based on portfolio review and parent discussion, fulfilling the annual submission requirement

Important: This evaluation process differs from the requirements for PEP students. Students participating in PEP must complete approved norm-referenced diagnostic testing.

If you have questions about which requirement applies to your child, we are happy to help guide you. Formal Norm-Reference Testing

Formal Norm-Referenced Literacy Assessment Available

We are pleased to offer formal norm-referenced testing using a nationally standardized diagnostic tool designed for students ages 7–18. This assessment evaluates foundational literacy skills, providing valuable insight into a student’s reading and spelling development.

The Word Identification and Spelling Test (WIST) is used to measure key components of literacy, helping to identify areas of strength as well as potential learning gaps.

Each assessment includes a comprehensive written report that can be submitted to a public school system as part of the documentation process for requesting an Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Results are carefully reviewed and clearly explained to parents by a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and/or a certified Dyslexia Specialist, ensuring families fully understand their child’s profile and next steps for support.

This service is an important step in advocating for your child’s educational needs and accessing appropriate school-based accommodations and services.

Empowering Social Confidence Through Connection

What is PEERS®?

Developed at UCLA, the PEERS® program is an evidence-based social skills training program for children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, or other social difficulties.

Parent-child participation is required — you’ll both learn skills that build friendships and communication for life.

Children are taught through modeling, role-playing, and real-life practice. Parents become social coaches outside of sessions.

Informal Reading Screenings

Are you looking for more information about your child’s

reading, writing or spelling?

iReading Tutor now offers literacy screenings to measure the development of literacy skills in reading, writing and spelling. All screening resources are tailored to meet the needs of the individual student based on grade or literacy skill level.

Please note these screeners do not replace a formal assessment and will not result in a diagnosis. Information gathered may indicate a need for further evaluation.

$125 fee includes:

One 45-60 minute one-on-one online assessment session

A written report summarizing the information gathered

A 20-minute brief online consultation reviewing the results.

Screeners are performed by Certified iReading Tutor Teachers
